[mythtv-users] Transcode Question

I have a few transcode questions that has probably been answered
somewhere, so sorry in advance if they've been answered a zillion times.
I have a 350 using the TVOut that locks up all the time due to the alpha
drivers for the card. Unfortunately I have a couple shows recorded that
I would like to watch so I thought I would convert them.

Anyway, if you hit X while watching a recording it's supposed to queue
transcoding according to keys.txt.

1) Do I have to keep watching the program, or can I stop watching and
transcoding will happen in the background? (if I keep watching the show
locks up)
2) Is there any setup I need to do on the transcoding by doing it this
way?
3) I looked at MythMkMovie and tried installing it, but when I tried to
run it I got an error that it couldn't find tythtranscode, so I'm
wondering if doing the 'X' will even work.
