[mythtv-users] LIRC and Hauppauge question

kinda OT, but...
i have an IR keyboard for mythbox, it's got a reciever and two PS2 outputs, a keyboard and a mouse (it's got one of those IBM nipple-of-knowledge do-hickeys). it flashes the recieve light every time i send any IR in it's direction, from the hauppage remote or any of my other IR remotes. is there a way to capture the output of the PS2 ports and see what my remotes are shooting through it, if anything? then maybe re-map keys to whatever it is that the reciever is recieving?
just a thought...

I have that reciever, it works nicely with every remote I've tried it with. I have my universal programed as a replay tv remote and it works peachy with it!

Christopher,
very tempting, that two for $15 deal. Have you tried that receiver with other
than the included remote? Does it play nicely with, say, universal remotes?
Thanks,

As the previous poster mentioned, the RC-5 codes that the Hauppauge
remotes and ir receiver users aren't all that common. This is what I
purchased as a serial IR receiver. Two for $15 isn't too bad of a price.
