James, what you might be thinking of is the fact that the Freestyle 
cards have the same MPEG decoder chip that the PVR-350 does.  The main 
difference is that there is no TV-out, so it would have to be used as a 
generic off-screen framebuffer, then copied/blitted/whatever out to 
your video card for screen/TV output.  Support for using the decoder in 
this manner is on the to-do list for ivtv; after that, presumably work 
would have to be done for Myth to support it.

The short answer is: there is no hardware-accelerated decoding/output 
support at this time for the Freestyle.  XvMC is currently supported on 
the GF4MX & FX video cards using the Nvidia binary drivers.
