It sounds like he did this already since ldd shows the dependency to
the nVidia XvMC library.

Before I moved to the PVR350, I tried running the XvMC version but didn't
notice any difference either.  Back then, I heard that it was still a
work-in-progress and that support was not all there.  Not sure what the
status is today...
