[mythtv-users] Strange error message and problem with /dev/video0

Hi, got the software all built up but am having a
couple of strange problems. Whenever I run mythbackend
or setup i get this message:

Session management error: Authentication Rejected,
reason : None of the authentication protocols
specified are supported and host-based authentication
failed

Anyone know what it means and what I need to do to fix
it? I was able to run mythfilldatabase just fine,
though I think that message did come up a couple of
times. I run the EPG and it shows on the screen with
the right info, so it was able to write to the
database correctly.  The other problem is the program
is unable to probe the /dev/video0 or any of them all
the way through /dev/video4.  Plus when I run
mythbackend it tells me /dev/video0 doesnt exist even
though I can see it in /dev
