You might check out whether there are any 802.11g bridges out there. I
only have a "b" WAP so it doesn't matter to me, and I got a D-Link bridge
for my network once I get this thing down into the living room. One
warning about the D-Link bridge: it claims to be configurable from any OS,
but currently can only be configured using Internet Explorer 6.0; heavy
javascript that relies on the windows version of JS is the culprit. Aside
from that complaint, the bridge works very well--just run a short ether
cable from the onboard network port (saves me a card slot) to the bridge
and voila, I'm on the network. The bridge was around the same price as a
good 802.11b card and as I say, saves a slot.
