[mythtv-users] external channel changing issue

I'm having trouble with external channel changing while watching live 
tv.  I think the problem is that lirc in conjunction with my homebrew 
transceiver can't receive and transmit at the same time.  Channel up and 
channel down work fine, but if I go to punch in a multi digit channel 
number, it starts transmitting the first digit immediately, then it 
can't see then incoming digits following that until it's too late. 
 Anybody dealt with this?

Is there a way I can page up like 15 channels at a time?
