I continue to find low-end AverTV cards available locally($US40), and they 
still work with the bttv driver (as of 2 weeks ago, anyway). I don't like 
their video quality quite as much as the Hauppauge WinTV Go cards ... both 
are fine if the signal is clean, but a noisy signal seems to encode a bit 
more blurry with the Aver than with the Hauppauge ... but it seems to be 
good enough.
