[mythtv-users] jerky video, "ran out of AUDIO buffers :-(" error, amongst others

My previous problem with tv_grab_na was solved from the xmltv mailing
list. It turned out that my proxy configuration (http_proxy=) required a
leading http://

I'm having a new problem now, after running the frontend. Video looks
like for about a second and a half. And then it becomes VERY jerky,
pausing for a few seconds. I ALT-TABbed over to the console, and saw it
spewing out...

ran out of free AUDIO buffers
only read -1 from 4096 bytes from '/dev/dsp'
read audio: File descriptor in bad state

Over and over and over again, until I CTRL-C my way out.

MythTV is so close to working! Any advice on fixing this problem? I'm
using Gentoo Linux, and I merged the portage file listed in the
installation instructions.

Thank you much!
