Sound issue.  

Either a) your card/driver doesn't do full duplex, or b) you've got arts or 
esd or something running that's sitting on the device, and mythtv can't open 
it.  What you're hearing is the audio pass through of the tuner card, read 
the mythtv docs on how to turn that off.
