Keep up with the ALSA-devel mailing list, specifically regarding the 
ALC650 chipset. It's working now in CVS, although it's a real hack and a 
half to get it going. I'm using that board in my soon-to-be HTPC, just 
compiling the kernel right now though so we'll see how things go.
