I am about ready to build a final MythTV box. I want
this to be a Frontend/Backend combo and I already have
a PVR-250 working on a desktop unit. I am looking to
build something that will sit in my A/V rack below my
36" SONY WEGA that looks like another piece of A/V
equipment.
After doing much research, I have narrowed it down to
either the Pundit or the Nehemiah.
Pundit + Celeron 2.4GHZ
M10000 + Casetronic 2699R Case
Either will fit the PVR-250(from what I can gather).
Both are around the same price, so it will come down
to advice for me.
I would lean to the Epia M10000 since it would look
more like A/V equipment, but I know the MPEG2 Hardware
decoder is not ready for primetime on Linux.
Would either/both of these have enough horsepower to
run a combo unit?
Is there enough power for everything(PVR-250,3.5" HD)
on the M10000 with a 55W power supply?
How is the TV-OUT on both of these boards?
Any other suggestions/gotchas?
Thanks,
Ray
