[mythtv-users] mythtv on a big endian machine (ultrasparc)

Someone at some point (I think; check the list archives) reported patching
the frontend to run on a big endian machine (LinuxPPC).  If your SPARC is
running Linux, then you should be OK after that; if it's running Solaris
you'll probably have some more work in the area of sound support.
