I have the same problem with Myth 0.9.1
The main difference, however, is that my computer uses bttv
driver.
At the same time, it does have a VIA hard drive controller

I can start and run MythTV for several minutes at ~50%
processor load.
Then it chokes, produces a couple of "Backend stuffed up.."
messages
and crashes the system.
I do not think that the problem is in video driver - the
computer runs
freevo for days. I can record using mencoder without any
problems.
I tried to generate a backtrace, but the system hangs and
does not respond to
any keys.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Edward
