Now that you mention it, I think you're right... here's what happens with me:

- Boot up w/framebuffer console, get nice splashscreen & virtual consoles
- X starts, looks great
- switch to console on VT, get bad refresh rate on my TV (looks like Vertical or 
Horizontal Sync (or both) are off)

BUT, this doesn't happen with my monitor connected instead of a TV.

Anybody out there with a GeForce4 MX using TVout that also has a framebuffer 
console got this working right?
