[mythtv-users] mod_php safe mode

I get this when running MythWEB:

Warning: shell_exec() [function.shell-exec]: Cannot execute using
backquotes in Safe Mode in /var/www/html/mythweb/functions.php on line 749

I'm running Mandrake 9.1 with the mod_php package, and can't find the
php.ini file anywhere to turn off safe mode.  Any help appreciated.
