[mythtv-users] Backend stuffed up in RequestRingBufferBlock

Since I'm having what I think is the same problem. Let me elaborate a
little. I've done some various tests, to try and track down the
problem. I think it is definately driver related, but as to what in the
driver, I do not know. I too can do the cat /dev/video0 test just fine.
But when I try an 'mplayer /dev/video0' it will play for a few minutes
and then stop. Mplayer stops recieving data. Any idea why this would
happen only when video is being displayed? It happens this way in Myth
also. If I leave the box alone when it is recording, it does fine,
records every show I ask it to, and has absolutely no problems. If I
try to watch something it has recorded previously while it is recording,
it stops recording. If I try to watch live TV, it will work for a few
seconds, and then stop recording, usually with the Bakcend stuffed up in
RequesRingBufferBlock message. I have posted to the ivtv list on this,
but haven't gotten anything back on it yet. Hopefully someone here has
seen the same thing, and has a solution for it. This is of course with
a PVR-250.
