[mythtv-users] Continued sound issues

I've done some more testing to see if I could narrow down my sound
problem (left channel only). I unmuted my line in on the sound card and
I can hear the tv fine, in stereo. I can play wav/mp3's fine, in
stereo. The problem is when I watch live tv, I am only getting sound
out of the left channel. When I tried aplay /dev/dsp tho, I get the
following.

myth root # aplay /dev/dsp
Playing raw data '/dev/dsp' : Unsigned 8 bit, Rate 8000 Hz, Mono
xrun!!! (at least 9.219 ms long)
xrun!!! (at least 11.766 ms long)
xrun!!! (at least 11.849 ms long)
xrun!!! (at least 11.846 ms long)
xrun!!! (at least 11.849 ms long)
xrun!!! (at least 11.846 ms long)
xrun!!! (at least 11.849 ms long)
xrun!!! (at least 11.858 ms long)
and on and on....

8000 hz mono eh?
That seems to be my problem, only thing is, I am not sure what is
causing that. I know for certain that the input on the tv wonder is
getting stereo, and I know for certain that it's being passed to the sb
live in stereo, and when I unmute the line in (which is set for capture
btw) it is coming out of my speakers in stereo. My only problem is
/dev/dsp is not right. I am using the latest alsadrivers available thru
portage (using emu10k1), and I also have alsa-oss emerged.

I am running a 800p3, sb live value, ati tv wonder ve.
I tried both the gentoo portage .10 myth, and the cvs from last night,
didn't make a difference.

I can see the picture fine when I watch live tv.

here are some more configs..

If there is anything else I should include, please let me know. This
problem is driving me crazy. I had this same computer working fine
about a month ago, until the harddrive crashed on me, and I had to
reinstall everything. I got used to pausing live tv, and now I am like
a crack fiend without crack! PLEASE HELP!!!
