[mythtv-users] ERROR: something is currently using /dev/dsp

K menu --> Settings --> Control Panel --> then Sounds & Multimedia --> 
Sound System or something... theres a checkbox that says "Start aRts 
server when KDE starts.", uncheck it and hit apply and it should work... 
you *might* have to reboot but i usually didnt have to.
