[mythtv-users] Audio problem -- second try ?

Hi all,

I send this again just in case somebody is only who CAN help me with this ...

Situation.

- downloaded and compiled the latest version of MythTV (not CVS version) : 
Compiled like a charm !!
- Already had ALSA-9 running (disabled artds because using KDE)
- xmms plays, aplay plays, mplayer plays sound.
- kmix shows separact VIDEO bar which when manipulated (mute, ...) effects the
  audio of the TV card
- TV card itself is Philips MSP34xx or something.
- Xawtv works fine

- Have set up Backend to open /dev/video and /dev/dsp
- Have set up frontent do open audio out /dev/dsp0 and /dev/mixer0 (also tried
(/dev/mixer)

PROBLEM : cannot seem to get any output of sound.  Suggestions of what might 
be wrong ?

BTW.  GREAT piece of software.  Cannot wait to install MythDVD ...
