[mythtv-users] apt-get dist-upgrade, lost all of mythtv rpms

In the process of trying to upgrade my Mythtv Box I used the following
commands,

apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade

During this process I received some errors that seemed to indicate rpm
database inconsistencies so I did the following,

# rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db*
# rpm --rebuilddb

This fixed the errors but when I tried to run apt-get dist-upgrade again I
got a message about Unmet dependencies. As suggested I tried using apt-get
-f.

I ran apt-get -f dist-upgrade and let it install everything it wanted.

Now if I do rpm -qa |grep myth none of my mythtv packages show up as
installed. Mythtv is still on my system because I can run the front end
without any problems.

I am running RH9, uname -r = 2.4.20-24_31.rh9.at. I installed Mythtv using
Jarod's RH9 guide a few months ago.

I have AMD 2500, Asus A7N8x motherboard, 512MB, Chaintech 64MB AGP
GeForce 4 MX 440 w/S-Video out, Hauppauge WinTV PVR-250 (w/the grey
remote)

Any suggestions or web sites on how to help me fix this issue would be
greatly appreciated.

I am hesitant to do anything else for fear of messing things up further.

Thanks,
Andy
