Early indications are the new ivtv cvs tarball had little if
any affect. In two different tests, the pvr recording stopped
well short of its intended length.

There was one thing interesting ... The second test, one
of the WinTV records also stopped early, but not really...
During playback, it showed only 15 minutes, and actually hung
the front-end when that 15 minute mark was reached. However I noticed
the backend was still adding data to the file-system's file over
45 minutes after it was scheduled to stop, and over 60 minutes past
when the recording was unplayable. I could tell the HDs were busy
and the file was growing in size; but not playable. And again the
backend completely missed the next scheduled recording.
