The Nova-T has got a really poor quality pci bridge chip. It has trouble not
loosing data full stop, let alone if you are triggering interrupts which
"lock" the system for tens of ms at a time.  See the linuxtv-dvb list about
2 months ago there was a lot of discussion when someone found a way just to
make it work quite well normally (ie forget about disk access!)
