No, he meant that using a PVR-x50 card of any kind means you're creating 
MPEG-2 files, which Windows can play already with no additional software.  

The codecs he pointed to are for viewing Myth's RTJPEG/MPEG-4 NUV files 
(created using a software-encoding card) on a Windows machine.
