no luck.  i tried all of the dxs_support options (0-4) with the same
results each time.  it still has garbled sound during dvd playback.

I don't have the same motherboard, but I had the same symptoms, I needed
to do dxs_support=4. That fixed all my problems. (I also get 4 concurrent
streams with my via82xx audio, through oss emu and/or alsa.)
