yes. the mythtv emerge will fail to install without sql support in qt. I had 
to recompile qt the day before yesterday :)

Yeah. Once in a while its not bad, and I did try that, but as I said in my 
last message, there was no update, so the packages for ~x86 and normal, are 
the same.

Yeah, Alsa is a nice thing :) I've been using it since ALSA 0.5 was new. :D
