  Hi all,

New to MythTV as of last night. Wow, great stuff!! Can't wait to get this set up! Makes me sorry I thought getting a new ATI AIW was a good idea!

A friend asked me to build him a super-hot system. I was wanting to build something with a 5-slot AIT tape changer for archives and remote streaming over ethernet to go with it. Something like a http://www.storagebysony.com/products/productmain.asp?id=171 hanging off a decent server. Seems like you could put 80-100 DVDs on a magazine without recompression.

Anyone tried building a Myth-friendly UI for a tape changer yet? Seems like doing something against command-line BRU could do the trick.

http://www.aminocom.com/products/aminet110.html would be cool for the remote sets. Or something like it. Low noise and all that.

Does any of this sound familiar? I'm really new to DIY PVR, so please excuse my ignorance if that is the case. (And I looked for a way to search the list archives, but couldn't find anything...)

  thanks!

  Brian
