You're right, MPEG-2 files will play fine on Windows, but there's a few
reasons I want the files to eventually be in DivX format. One is so I can
hold more files on the HD at a decent quality, another is so that I can
easily stream the files throughout our network, and the final one is so that
the files can be played on hardware DivX players like the AV300.
Hopefully Chris or Dennis will chime in here with some advice on how to get
the audio and video in sync...
