Check the audio sample rate in your recording profile. It needs to be
*exactly* 44100 Hz (44.1 kHz) for VCD/SVCD. If it isn't, different DVD
players will handle it differently; one possible behavior is that it
will try to play the entire stream at a rate based on the audio sample
rate, so if your audio is at 48000 Hz, then the whole stream will play
(48 / 44.1 = 1.088) times faster than normal. Or, at the other end,
maybe you recorded at 32000 Hz but your DVD player is trying to force
44100 Hz, so it's playing (44.1 / 32 = 1.38) times faster. My DVD
player just doesn't play the audio at all in these cases. The linked
post has an attached version of nuvexport that will resample to 44100
Hz.
