[mythtv-users] output: VGA -> HDTV

If anyone on here has their Myth box output to an HDTV, can you please 
answer a few questions?

1) Do you use a converter box to take VGA out from the Myth video card 
and split it to RGB components?  (My HDTV does not have DVI in.)  If so, 
which converter box?

2) How did you set your XConfig file to display the proper resolution 
(1920x1080)?  I'm concerned about "fiddling around" with it given the 
possibility of messing up my TV during experimentation.

Right now I'm using just an S-video out from my Myth box to an S-video 
in on my HDTV and I just feel like I'm wasting the potential of 
displaying a higher resolution....
