My feeling is that just because you *can* do it on a
TV doesn't mean it's a good idea. Things like Email,
chat, web browsing, ripping DVDs, etc. are better done
sitting at a keyboard with a mouse rather than sitting
on the couch with a beer and a remote, imho.
If you live with other people, you find out really
fast that sitting there watching someone else fiddle
with shell commands on the TV annoys them. Television
watching tends to be a communal experience that
doesn't lend itself well to everything you might
possibly want to do with a computer.
I would rather see energy put into helping to improve
the response time of channel changing in MythTV, which
is the only thing that disappoints me about this
otherwise terrific project.
