Also, how about

MythSyslog
 - display your syslog. interface "filters" for mythtv items, "important"
problems.
 - even an OSD for "your HD is having problems", "system is overheating",
etc

MythTerminal
 - for those people who just have-to-have a shell on their myth box from the
sofa.
