[mythtv-users] re: XvMC/HDTV/pchdtv observations

Steve,

I have the same problem. If it makes you feel any
better I'm running myth on an 800Mhz processor.

Without XvMC, my channel changing works a treat, but
the picture is unwatchable - it jolts too much.

With XvMC, when I change channels I get the same
problem as you - changing channels between ITV and BBC
causes an assert to occur and mythfrontend to die.
I got a bit annoyed with that so i commented out the
asserts on line 121 and another one a couple of lines
above. This stopped mythfrontend from crashing but now
the resultant picture jutters a bit after a channel
change. I have to press escape and then go back into
the TV watching mode. Still better than having to
completely restart myth.

The asserts seem to be checking for a "2 bit" within
the state but for some reason it doesnt exist....

Hopefully someone on the dev list can help.
