[mythtv-users] OT: using redhat9 and mythtv0.11 atrpms...can't getlirc to work.

I started down the path of trying to get lirc to work from packages. There
were various problems, eg it can't autodetect NTSC Leadtek Winfast cards.
Pretty quickly I realized the solution was to buy an IR keyboard and a
learning remote. If you want to kill the last official weekend of summer,
play w/ lirc. If you don't mind dropping $100, go my route. Plus, it's
pretty handy to be able to whip out a keyboard on a moment's notice, and
universal learning remotes are pretty handy.
