[mythtv-users] Final config issue.

Hi all,

   I finally got mythtv 0.11 installed and working (plus some additional 
modules), now I'm down to this one last sticking point and I can't 
figure out how to get this to work.

The set up.

Pinnacle PCTV Pro
Geforce4 MX 440 video card.

Dish receiver. (input source)

The dish receiver is set up to output on channel 4, this in turn is 
connected to the tuner on the pinnacle board.

I got the machine to autoboot into mythtv and everything works great 
(overscaned tv output looks just fine) I can watch movies, play music 
and watch dvd's. However, after a fresh reboot I can't watch any 'live 
tv' All I get is static (I'm guessing its tuned to the wrong channel).

If however, I quit the frontend, pull up xawtv, set the channel there, I 
can watch live TV all night long (no manual recording as thats broke 
apparently).

My questions are as follows:

1. How do I tell what channel its tuning to on start up. (The OSD is 
blank when I pull it up)
2. How do I make it tune to channel 4 and _stay_ there. (I'll play with 
the irblaster or something else to change channels on the dish receiver 
later)

Anyone know what vital last bit I'm missing? (Oh and I've tried to use 
v4lctl to set the tuner to where it should be but that didn't work)


And an enhancement question.

How hard would it be to get the 'record' button on the remote to work. 
What I mean by this is I'm watching something I like, I hit record, and 
it just starts recording. Maybe like a one touch record feature or 
something, hit the record button and it will record for 30 mins, hit it 
again 60 mins etc... I've been poking at the source a bit and was 
wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. The current 
manual recording method is a bit on the clunky side (IMHO).
