[mythtv-users] does front end need a tuner?

I was planning to use 1 myth backend server with about 3-4 PVR-250 cards
to serve content to 2-3 TV's.  When I put the Myth frontend on boxes
near those TV's, do they need to have a tuner card installed in them in
order for MythTV to work?  Or can I just put a small box with TV out,
small hard drive, NIC, etc. at the individual TV's.
