When you say it 'doesn't do weekslot recordings', do you mean that it
_shouldn't_ do them?  I fully agree that it wasn't doing them before..
It had the option, but anytime I picked it, it set it to 'daily'..

When I choose to record the program, either from the program finder,
or the program guide, I am presented with 5 options:

-don't record
-record just this one
-record in this timeslot every week
-record whenever it is on this channel
-record whenever it is anywhere

I don't have the 'automatically use advanced recording screen' enabled,
although I have tried it out in the past and didn't care for it (I
couldn't see the 'submit' button at the bottom of the page)

But, anytime I chose the 'every week' option, it wasn't setting the
recording to 'every week'.  It was setting it 'every day'.

Making that change fixed the problem for me and, so far, I've seen one
side effect (although I fully expect that, since the change has since
been reverted in CVS, that my machine will explode sometime later today)

The one side effect that I've seen seems to be related to your statement.
After setting the 'every week' correctly, using the above change,
everything looked great.  The DB was correctly showing type=5, the text
was saying 'every week', etc.  However, when I hit enter to view the
record options for that program, I get the advanced recording screen.
NOT the normal 5 choice screen that got before.  For other recordings
not on 'weekly' I still get the normal 5 choice screen.
