what does this error mean and what can I do about it?

My screen graphics is pretty screwed up (in weather, view recording, 
delete recording, epg while livetv), but works fine at othes times... 
live tv, find progtams to record and default screens unless I have 
messed things up by first going to one of the messed up ones as it 
won't go away until I restart mythfrontend or go throught eh appearance 
setup screens.

any thoughts?
