[mythtv-users] WinTV PVR-350 and Dolby Digital

Hello all,

I am new to this list, and I apologise if these questions have been anwered
before.

I am considering setting  up a MythTV setup, but I have certain goals that I
would like to accomplish with it.

1. Record from my RCA DirecTV receiver (from what I've seen, I believe that
this can be achieved without major incident)
    1a. I have a site that shows how to connect to the "home control" port
and control the RCA via serial cable.)
2. Record shows that broadcast in Dolby Digital. (My RCA reciever supports
DD 5.1 as does my Yamaha AV receiver and it currently works great)


I'm aware that the the WinTV PVR-350 does not support DD5.1, it supports dbx
whatever that is.  Can I use a DD5.1 audio card and have the show synched
with the video or does everything need to come in on the PVR card?
