Thank you for posting your .licrc file.  I had been having a terrible time 
getting MUTE to work.  I tried all the representations of "|" that I could 
think of (octal, hex, "bar") with no success.

 > # Mute
 > begin
 > prog = irxevent
 > button = Mute
 > repeat = 3
 > config = Key F9 CurrentWindow
 > end

How did you know to use F9?  It's not listed in my keys.txt file.
