Basicly a family app server. 2-3 people will have accounts on the
application server, and access these accounts remotely via X Window or
TightVNC, using internal 100MBit or 1Gb Ethernet. Tasks may involve
heavy browsing, starting large applications such as OpenOffice, image
manipulation with the GIMP.

Unfortunately I cannot afford SCSI, so I'll have to use SATA.

Would running MythTV with elevated priority, say -15, prevent or
minimize frame dropouts?
