I have the same problem.  Also I have the same problem when I use
mencoder (via my own script, or mythencode.pl) to create divx files.  I
get green flashes *frequently* throughout playback of the .nuv files or
the encoded versions.  

Brian, did you ever fix this?  Is anyone else seeing this?  It's pretty
consistent and is preventing me from archiving my shows.  

I'm using the atrpm version of mplayer and of MythTV.  mythencode.pl I
just copied from the source distribution of .10.
