CVS does the "keep only x episodes part" and will only remove them when
drive space gets below a configurable level. It doesn't support keep the
last x days episodes though. IMO "keep x episodes" is good enough. 

As for changing the record start and stop times, you are limited to a
pre and post additional recording on every recording. I believe that's
good enough.
