Actually I read a post where someone was doing this by modifying the source
from dev/lirc to dev/lirc_rec etc. I am trying to find it again now.
I am not sure if I will need to do this because the actisys is an -ok- reciever
as well. Not as good as the one on my leadtek card though [in terms of range].
I am trying to find out what brand of remote my cable box emulates because I
have seen no cnofig files for the ScientificAltanta 3100HD cable box. I think
it is runs the same codes as either samsung or some other digitabl cable box
also that I might be able to finmd a conf file for without having to make one.
Thanks everyone for your help - Mike
