Hi All,

I just joined the list after having decided that I am going to give MythTV 
a try.  I am starting from scratch (well, actually, blowing away a Windows 
XP box that is running ShowShifter) so I figured I would chronicle my 
"adventure" on my website.  I just started last night and have only a 
couple of hours a night to work on it so there is not much written yet, but 
I hope to have a complete account of my "Quest for MythTV" in a few days.

It probably seems weird that I am posting messages on my own forum replying 
to myself, but it seemed like a quick way to get my stuff written down 
without having to write html or a new page.  Of course, all of you guys are 
welcome to register and join in the forum, although it would probably be 
less useful than this mailing list!

I anticipate that I will be asking questions here when I run into a snag 
that the documentation doesn't quite handle for me.
