From knowledgejunkie at gmail.com Wed Jan 28 14:57:21 2026 From: knowledgejunkie at gmail.com (Nick Morrott) Date: Wed, 28 Jan 2026 14:57:21 +0000 Subject: [Mythtv-translators] Could you help with translations for the upcoming MythTV v36 release? Message-ID: Dear MythTV users and translators around the world, First of all, let me wish you all a happy, healthy and MythTV-filled 2026! The next version of MythTV (v36.0) will be released soon, so with translatable strings frozen now is the time to update those translations! We support a large number of languages in each release and this is possible thanks to the time and care that our translators take to improve each release. Current Status ============== You can see the current state of translations across supported languages for the next release of MythTV here: https://www.insidethex.co.uk/mythtv/translation-status/master/ (Note that this does not currently include data for the MythTV Web Application.) Full details of how to contribute translations for mythfrontend, our various plugins, and the WebApp can be found on the MythTV wiki here: https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Translation Please note that MythWeb remains deprecated. How to Help =========== If you can help and are comfortable using git, please open a Pull Request (PR) against the master branch of the official MythTV repository on Github when your updates are ready. You can find our current Pull Requests at https://github.com/MythTV/mythtv/pulls. This is the preferred way of submitting updates for MythTV. If you are unable to submit a Pull Request using Github, please send your updated .ts translation files directly to me via email, with your updates based against the branch). I will commit them to the repository whilst preserving your contribution details, and backport your translations to the fixes/36 branch too. With thanks, Nick
