Hi David

There are new Android devices that have 64bit processors and 16K page
size. Apparently they will not support an apk file that does not use 16K
page size.

Google require for the play store 16K page size support for all apk's as
of November 2025 for mobile devices and November 2026 for TV devices.

We do not use the play store for android mythfrontend, so we are not
bound by that but some people may encounter a problem if they have a new
64bit device with 16K page size.

There are various ways to achieve this but the easiest is to use Android
NDK r28 and higher. I started using 28.2.13676358 last September for
leanfront.

See https://developer.android.com/guide/practices/page-sizes

However, android mythfrontend build fails if I try to use NDK
28.2.13676358. According to the QT documentation it will require QT6.10
version to support that.

See https://www.qt.io/blog/android-15-and-16-support.

Do you have any recommendations for building with NDK 28 and QT6.10?

Peter
