[mythtv] HDR to SDR

It looks like Mark Kendall added very basic support for HDR mode switching
back in 2021 (commit 24f018d6ec5) Unfortunately, he has left the project
and no one has stepped up to take over the video output pieces.

I personally have no clue what it would take to get mode switching to work
for X11 or wayland. It looks like trying to get it working with X11 is a
non-starter, but it is supposed to work in wayland? I was thinking it might
be easier to add a HDR to SDR filter?

mpv is able to do automatic HDR to SDR tone mapping and I believe
that libplacebo is based off of the mpv implementation? From what I have
read, as of FFmpeg 7.1 hardware accelerated calls to the libplacebo filter
are supported:

Does anyone have any experience (or the desire to learn) about HDR
mode-switching or implementing libplacebo to do tone mapping?

I may start looking into it myself, but this will be a *huge* learning
curve for me, so I am hoping someone else can either give me some pointers,
or even take it up themselves.
