Hi Craig

Thanks for the info. I believe it will include the subtree in the 
tarball. I will make sure to test it to make sure it is included.
I see the way to get a tarball is using a URL like this 
https://github.com/MythTV/mythtv/archive/devel/ffmpeg-resync.tar.gz .
