open google, enter "QT_NO_IPV6", hit "I feel lucky", end up
on http://blog.qt.io/blog/2011/07/05/ipv6-changes-in-qt5/ and read:

"To further express that we take IPv6 seriously, I also have
  removed the support to compile with QT_NO_IPV6."

I'd say its ok to let go after it was removed almost 6 years ago :)
